The 2nd China Xiamen International Tea Fair

 

Xiamen, ChinaThe 2nd China Xiamen International Tea Fair and China Xiamen International Coffee Fair 2011 were successfully held on October 20-23, 2011 at Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China. Mr. Zen Qi, Chief Supervisor of Xiamen General Chamber of Commerce, pointed out that China Xiamen International Tea Fair was full of potential.

  

 

The 2nd China Xiamen International Tea Fair and China Xiamen International Coffee Fair 2011  covered an exhibition area of 22,000 square meters with 273 exhibiting companies, among which there were 96 overseas companies from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Poland, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Portugal, Mexico, Colombia, and USA. Many also showed their interests in the next edition of the fair. With the 6th China Xiamen International Buddhist Items & Crafts Fair and the 3rd China Xiamen International Vegetarian Food Fair, the total trade visitors reached 48,769. They were from Mainland China, HK, Taiwan, Macao, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, USA, Canada, UK, Russia, Poland, Italy, The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Australia, Sri Lanka, India, Argentina, Brazil, New Zealand, Czech Republic, Israel, Morocco, Ukraine, Colombia, Portugal, France, Switzerland, Finland, Ethiopia and other 38 countries and regions in the world.

 

International Tea Forum 2011: Mr. Wing-Chi IP, Supervisory Director of World Tea Union and President of Hong Kong Tea Ceremony Association, Owner of Lock Cha Tea Shop, Mr. Wang Guiqing, General Manager of Xiamen Tea Imp & Exp Co., Ltd. and Chairman of South Fujian Tea Association, Mr. Lv Lizhen, Director of the Chinese Art of Tea Craft Union, Mr. Polwatte Lekamalage Upali Dissanayake, Additional Secretary of Ministry of Plantation Industries of Sri Lanka and Mr. Roy Fong, Owner of Imperial Tea Court, San Francisco and Berkeley, California, Author of The Great Teas of China, Former International Director of Tea a Magazine, Former Founding member of American and International Tea Masters Association got together to discuss the Status Quo and Trend of Global Tea Distribution. The audience showed great interests and enthusiasm in this topic and their splendid speeches.

 

Brand Promotion Meetings: Companies can use this platform to bolster their brand images, attract investment, promote new products, and seek franchisees. This year, five companies took this opportunity. They were Dianhong Black Tea, Jinrich Dark Tea, Baishaxi Dark Tea, Fujin Pu-erh Tea and Sri Lanka Tea Board.
  

   
  

Tea Ceremony Performance: Tea Masters from Mainland China, Taiwan, Japan and Korea were invited to share the beauty and elegance of tea ceremony and tea culture with people interested. Programs included Korean Tea Ceremony Performance, Yiqingyuan Tea Cultural and Artistic Troupe, Japanese Chin-shin-ryuu Style Tea Ceremony Performance, and Chinese Tea Culture Association.

 

Tea Culture Show: Pictures and antiques were displayed to show you the long and profound history of tea culture, in order to make people get to know the long and profound history of tea in China.
